MEET MS. RACHEL
BLOOM MISSION
Bloom Dance Academy exists to cultivate confidence, creativity, artistry, and self-expression through dance. Our mission is to provide a warm, encouraging environment where dancers feel supported as they develop strong technique, character, and a lifelong appreciation of dance and performing arts.
Â
To help every dancer bloom—with confidence, grace, and purpose.
Rachel Alba, founder of Bloom Dance Academy, has been dancing and teaching professionally in the Bothell community for over 20 years. Having trained in dance throughout her life, she pursued studies in both dance and elementary education, combining strong technical instruction with a deep understanding of child development and positive learning environments. After more than two decades of dancing, teaching, and mentoring young people, Rachel founded Bloom Dance Academy to create a dance studio centered around quality instruction, positive relationships and a welcoming community for dancers and their families.Â
Â
Â
In addition to studio instruction, Rachel has coached varsity cheer in Northshore School District and has spent years mentoring dancers and cheerleaders throughout the community. Through years of teaching, coaching and choreography, Rachel has built longstanding relationships with many local students and families and has developed a strong reputation for creating engaging, high-quality classes where dancers feel supported, challenged and inspired to grow.
iNSTRUCTORS & STAFF
Ms. Monica: With a background in linguistics, management, and business operations, I enjoy creating organized, welcoming environments where children can thrive. I spent over a decade in the ballet and conditioning world, an experience that taught me discipline, creativity, and perseverance. I am also a part-time homeschool parent and avid volunteer, especially at my children’s school. Some of the things I love doing include organizing a Lake Washington walking group, because I believe in movement and how it helps us maintain a healthy body and mind, exploring the coast or a charming old town, enjoying a concert, or just petting a dog. I can’t wait to help our future dancers learn, grow, and have fun together!

Preschool Dance Teacher
Ms. Esther took her first dance class when she was six years old in her home town of Yakima. From then on Ms. Esther knew that she was going to be an artist. Growing up Esther was highly focused on ballet, studying with various ballet companies at intensives all over the country. The past four years were spent in Salt Lake City where she earned her BFA in Modern Dance from the University of Utah. While in Salt Lake Ms. Esther had many opportunities to perform and choreograph, both as a student and as a professional freelance artist. She also spent several years teaching ballet at a studio local to Salt Lake. Ms. Esther's love for dance is a love for art, a love for expression, and a love for community. Art and movement is how Ms. Esther connects to the world and she is excited to share her love for dance with others.
Â
When Ms. Esther isn’t dancing she is often working on one of her many hobbies such as knitting, sewing, or drawing. If she isn’t working on any projects she is outside. Ms. Esther loves nature, spending her summers hiking and her winters skiing.Â

Ballet & Pointe Teacher
Ms. Kaeli: I started dancing at the age of three and have loved it ever since. Ballet has always been my favorite style, I love how you can express stories through your dancing and truly perform from the heart. I grew up training at Olympic Ballet School before moving away at 17 to join a pre-professional program in North Carolina. I then spent two years as a trainee with Richmond Ballet School in Virginia before returning to Washington to continue my ballet training. One of my favorite things about dance is the lifelong friendships you make. Getting to perform on stage together and cheer each other on backstage makes the art form even more special. Outside of dance, I love getting creative with my outfits, spending time with friends, and traveling. My favorite part of summer is visiting my family in Japan each year!
Ms. Tami is so happy to be a part of Bloom Dance Academy! With more than 20 years of experience in the dance world, she brings kindness, organization and a genuine love for helping and supporting dance families. From studio communications to photography and the many behind-the-scenes details, she helps keep everything running smoothly.Â
Â
Outside the studio, Ms. Tami loves spending time with her grandson, Owen and her Labrador, Maya. She is excited to welcome your family to Bloom and help make our studio a warm and welcoming place.
